Neurophysiology
BrainRT™
is designed for multiple tests that can be carried out in an
Electroencephalography (EEG) Laboratory:
- making a routine EEG
- determining brain status and brain
death
- long-term monitoring
- making a sleep EEG
- making an ambulatory EEG (24 hours
EEG)
- monitoring brain activity during
surgery (Carotis)
- making a quantitative EEG (qEEG)
- IC monitoring
A routine EEG usually takes less than an
hour, but long-term monitoring can take several days. During a
test procedure, a person may be asked to breathe slowly or
quickly. Visual stimuli such as flashing lights can be used to
stimulate certain types of brain activity.
