Neurophysiology

BrainRT™ is designed for multiple tests that can be carried out in an Electroencephalography (EEG) Laboratory:

  • making a routine EEG
  • determining brain status and brain death
  • long-term monitoring
  • making a sleep EEG
  • making an ambulatory EEG (24 hours EEG)
  • monitoring brain activity during surgery (Carotis)
  • making a quantitative EEG (qEEG)
  • IC monitoring

A routine EEG usually takes less than an hour, but long-term monitoring can take several days. During a test procedure, a person may be asked to breathe slowly or quickly. Visual stimuli such as flashing lights can be used to stimulate certain types of brain activity.
